Why operators pick Triviyo check-in
Built for trailheads, docks, and parking lots — not for a corporate office Wi-Fi.
QR scan for the common case
Guests arrive with a booking confirmation on their phone — your guide opens the camera in the check-in URL and scans. One second, guest checked in, next in line. No fumbling, no typing.
Name search for everyone else
Guest lost the email? Typed the name wrong at booking? Fuzzy name search finds them in under two keystrokes, including partial matches and common typos. Nobody stuck at the front of the line.
Works on 3G — and offline
The check-in page loads in under a second on 3G and caches everything it needs. If signal drops mid-check-in, actions queue locally and sync when you reconnect. Trailhead-ready, signal-tolerant.
Browser-based, zero install
Your guides open a URL on whatever phone they already have — iPhone, Android, personal, work, borrowed. No app store, no device management, no IT project. Onboarding a new guide takes 30 seconds.
Single-tap check-in
One button, big target, loud feedback. Designed for cold hands, gloves, wet screens, and the three seconds you have before the next guest arrives. No multi-step flows, no confirmation dialogs.
Audit log per check-in
Every check-in records who checked the guest in, when, and from which device — essential for incident reports, safety reviews, and staff accountability. Exportable to CSV anytime.

Operators checking guests in faster with Triviyo
"Our launch dock has zero signal half the mornings. Triviyo's check-in just… works. Guides open the URL, actions queue, and sync when we're back on the grid. Paper clipboards officially retired."
Tómas Gunnarsson
Owner, Reykjavík Whale Watching
"Onboarding a seasonal guide used to mean provisioning an iPad, installing our old check-in app, and a 30-minute tutorial. Now it's 'here's the URL, tap this button.' We onboarded 14 summer guides in an afternoon."

Frequently asked questions
Do guides need to install an app?
No. Check-in runs in any modern browser — iPhone, Android, iPad, laptop. Your guide opens a URL, logs in once, and the page works like an app afterward (including offline). No app store, no approval delays, no device management.
What if we have no signal at the meeting point?
The check-in page caches everything it needs the first time it loads on a signal, and queues check-in actions locally when offline. When signal comes back, queued actions sync automatically. Tested at trailheads, docks, and remote parking lots.
How do QR codes work?
Every booking confirmation includes a unique QR code. Your guide opens the check-in URL, taps 'scan,' and points the camera at the guest's phone. One second later the guest is checked in — no name lookup, no typos, no waiting.
What happens if a guest doesn't have their QR code?
Use name search — fuzzy matching finds the guest in one or two keystrokes, including partial matches, alternate spellings, and common typos. Also supports search by phone number or email for tough cases.
Is there an audit log?
Yes. Every check-in records the staff member, timestamp, and device used. Essential for safety reviews, incident reports, and shift accountability — and exportable to CSV anytime. Retained for the life of the booking plus 7 years.
Can multiple guides check in at the same time?
Yes. Unlimited concurrent sessions — every guide on shift can be checking in guests simultaneously from their own phone, all writing to the same booking list in real time. No locks, no conflicts.
